| In 1999, ICDP created the
Red Ribbon Coalition website. This resource is designed
specifically for parent, teacher and student volunteers responsible
for coordinating/hosting the Red Ribbon Week on their campus. The Red Ribbon Coalition Online Training
Workshop has trained thousands of volunteers throughout the United States
since it began.

| History |

| As the
coordinating agency of Irvine's Red Ribbon Celebration, ICDP offers training
and support to our school prevention coordinators. In addition, ICDP
coordinates the community based Red Ribbon Celebration activities in Irvine.

| Training & Support |
|
| ICDP hosts training workshops and other support to our
school site prevention coordinators. Each fall, ICDP hosts workshops
and other meetings, including one on one meetings with school coordinators,
in order to support the development and implementation of Red Ribbon
activities and events that are based on the six primary prevention
strategies. |

| Community Activities and Events |

| Irvine's Red
Ribbon Celebration features a variety of community based activities and
events including a Red Ribbon Forum, Pizza Night, Pennies for Prevention, an
Art & Essay Contest, and the Red Ribbon Closing Ceremony.

Irvine Community Drug Prevention
provides a variety of resources to parents, teachers, students and
others regarding alcohol, tobacco and other drug and vioence
